ACTIV8 is a Friday night programme for Year 7 & 8 students.
ACTIV8 is designed so that students can make positive life choices and have fun in a safe environment.
FRIDAY NIGHTS: Kaiapoi Baptist Church, 67 Fuller Street, 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm.
ACTIV8 is an active faith based programme that looks at life from a Christian perspective. The programme includes topic based nights that look at such things as family, friends, self-esteem and social justice. Friday night could be hanging out and making pancakes, or it could be racing around the auditorium tied to a friend and discovering what it takes to be a good friend! The aim is that students have fun and begin to grapple with the challenges of growing up in a fast changing world!
We ask that you give a small koha ($2-$3) for each event, to cover prizes and resources.
We do have expectations on behaviour and attendance:
- Once a student comes to ACTIV8 they must stay until the end of the event.
- We have a discipline policy that reflects a Yellow/Red card system as in sports. Students will be warned for unacceptable behaviour and if necessary Parents/Caregivers called to collect students whose behaviour is unacceptable.
