A Call to Prayer Part Two

“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” Colossians 4:2

Prayer is a wonderful gift. It is a vital part of the life of a disciple and the life of a church. As a church we are currently facing some challenges, our community is also struggling and the wider Canterbury region seems to be enveloped in a cloud of mental stress and unwellness.

As a leadership we are calling the church to a sustained period of prayer through the month of November. Our focus will be simple: Our church, Our community, Our Region.

We will be having times of corporate prayer where the church will be encouraged to gather and pray for Gods direction, protection and intervention in our world. These times will include both corporate and individual prayer.

Sunday November 5th 5 pm – 6 pm

Tuesday November 7th 7 am – 8 am

Sunday November 12th 5 pm – 6 pm

Thursday November 16th 2 pm – 3 pm

Sunday November 19th 5 pm – 6 pm

Wednesday November 22nd   10 am – 11 am

It is not expected that everyone will make every meeting, but we have tried to vary the times to encourage participation of as many people as possible. In the hour that is set aside we will be praying for:

Our Church, Our Community, Our Region
