Did you know we are launching the World Vision New Zealand (@worldvsionnz) Matthew 25 Challenge in just two weeks? This is a great way to teach our children about God’s love for our brothers and sisters around the world who Jesus calls us to care for.
Hey church, have you signed up yet? We don’t want you to miss out on a life changing week that will be meaningful for all ages. Launching 11th of August.
We have been working our way through James on Sunday mornings. Hitting some big things and getting to grips with some of the imperatives found in this power packed epistle. Below are a series of studies that will help you go deeper.
ACTIV8 (activate) is a place where young people can come and have fun in a safe environment and make positive life choices. It could be a night where we end up making banana splits but also try and fit one back into its skin!! Or it could be that we are racing up and down the auditorium trying to carry as many balloons as possible, or maybe even trying to shave one! ACTIV8 is a chance for young people to enjoy themselves and also start to grapple with the challenges of growing up as a young person today. We also look at topics as diverse as friendship, self-esteem and social justice.
The latest Baptist Magazine is out. We have a copy in the foyer of the church for people to browse through. There’s some great articles in there that are a source of inspiration and hope. There are a couple of articles centered around the Mosque shooting as well as articles on what is happening around New Zealand and globally; all in all an interesting read. The link below is where you can read it online.
The latest MAF magazine is available and makes for an interesting read. So grab a cuppa and a biscuit and just click on the link below to see the latest MAF magazine and read and relax…
We are all about Food for LIFE here at Kaiapoi Baptist Church. It is the tag line of our vision. So this year we are starting a series called CHOOSE Life. It will look at issues of the day. It will help us live as followers of Jesus in a complicated world. The series will be spread throughout the year and begins next week as we tackle: Euthanasia.
CHOOSE Life will also be looking at such diverse topics as: Anger, Abortion, Pornography, Drugs, and Gender.
It’s always a good time! Easter Camp has always been an important moment in the lives of young people. Generations of young people have gathered together to remember and celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
EC19 was no different. The goal of camp was that young people would hear the gospel in a context and way that they can understand it. Mission accomplished!!
It was an great weekend and we took a “small but awesome” group of young people along. We may have been small in number but we made the most of it.
Thanks to those who helped out with set-up, pack down and prayer over the weekend. Without you Easter Camp wouldn’t be the same. See you next year!
