We don't like following rules. The word seems to bring out the worst in us.  But when the word rule is viewed as being a guide or 'trellis' for our lives it becomes something that helps our spiritual growth and our discipleship journey. Developing a 'Rule for Life' is about deliberately practicing spiritual disciplines so that we mature in our discipleship journey.
